Starting point

by x.9shootingacademy

Once finished with the Safety course, we can start with the four basic foundations of the Air Pistol techniques.

What is important to mention is that no advanced technique will help you progress unless the foundations have been set properly.

Let us first mention what the four basic elements are:
1.Stance
2.Aiming
3.Breathing
4.Trigger pull

Once these are explained individually we need to implement them one by one in our daily sessions until we are able to use them combination in order to achieve a good group of shots on our cards.

It is very important to add that this is a first step to learn the basic principles which can then be adjusted to the shooter on an individual level according to his/hers needs.

It is best to start with a “by the book” example and then help and adjust the shooter to his individual preferences in order to achieve the best possible outcome in the long term.

The first step, and the foundation of the technical elements is just a step, is achieving good groups of shots on your cards which will lead to scoring cards and moving onto fulfilling the requirements for more serious work as a shooter.

Once these are taught and improved upon to provide us with a technical foundation then we can think about adding physical fitness and mental preparations into the equation in order to achieve the best performance results.

But first let us go through these points one by one, so we can have them explained and adopted in daily training sessions.
